01Our commitment
GulfRasta is a professional platform for adults seeking jobs, hiring, visa processing, study, and travel services in the Gulf region and beyond. Because our users communicate with each other directly, we take child safety extremely seriously. We are committed to:
- Keeping people under the age of 18 off the platform entirely.
- Prohibiting any content or conduct that exploits or endangers children.
- Giving every user a fast, visible way to report concerns from inside the app.
- Reviewing reports promptly and taking decisive action — including removing users and cooperating with law enforcement where required.
02Adults-only platform
GulfRasta is designed exclusively for adults. The App is rated and listed accordingly on Google Play, and our Terms of Service state that all users must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from, or provide any service to, anyone under the age of 18. We never market the App to children, and all of our marketing and store-listing materials are directed at adults.
Minors are not permitted to create accounts, post content, communicate with other users, or use the App in any way. Where we identify an account that belongs to a minor, the account is closed and the associated personal data is deleted without delay.
03Age verification at signup
Every person who creates an account on GulfRasta must confirm their date of birth during registration. The App:
- Requires the user to select a date of birth before an account can be created.
- Rejects any date of birth indicating the user is under 18, and blocks registration automatically.
- Applies the same 18+ requirement to every account type — job seekers, employers, and consultants.
This age check is a mandatory part of creating an account. No account can be created without it, and there is no way to skip or bypass the requirement through the App.
04Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on GulfRasta, and any of these will lead to account removal and, where appropriate, referral to the authorities:
- Content that depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors in any form, including sexualised imagery, links, or requests.
- Grooming behaviour of any kind — building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, in-app or in private communications.
- Attempts to solicit or obtain sexual content, favours, or meetings from minors.
- Content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or intended for sexual gratification.
- Harassment, intimidation, threats, or bullying of any kind.
- Identity fraud, including falsely claiming to be another person or claiming to be older than you are.
- Using the platform to facilitate human trafficking, forced labour, or any exploitation of another person.
These rules apply to everything a user can see and share on the platform, including profile information, uploaded documents, job listings, consultant services, inquiries, and private chat messages.
05In-app reporting tools
Every user has a built-in reporting tool, available directly in the App:
- From any chat: open the menu in the top-right corner of a conversation and tap Report User.
- From any profile: tap the flag icon in the top-right corner of a consultant or company profile.
- Dedicated child safety category: the reporting form includes a Child Safety / Exploitation option, so that child safety concerns are instantly flagged for priority review.
- Reports can be made anonymously to the person being reported — they never learn who reported them.
- You can choose a reason (such as harassment, impersonation, scam, inappropriate content, or child safety) and add details about what happened.
Users do not need evidence to make a report, and there is no penalty for reporting in good faith. If you are not sure whether something should be reported, please report it — our team will review it.
06What happens after a report
When a report is submitted, our team is notified immediately and the report is added to a queue that is monitored by our administrators. Every report is reviewed by a member of our team, and we:
- Review the report, the reported account, and the relevant conversations or content.
- Act where the report is valid — action can include warning the user, suspending the account, permanently banning the account, or deleting content. Accounts involved in the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors, or in grooming, are removed from the platform permanently.
- Escalate immediately where a child may be at risk or where criminal activity is suspected, including referral to law enforcement and child protection agencies.
- Report CSAM: confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant authorities, the content is removed, and the accounts involved are terminated.
- Record the outcome in our administrative audit log so every report is traceable from submission to resolution.
Where an account is suspended or banned following a report, the affected user is notified and may contact us to appeal, but safety-related decisions involving minors are final.
07Working with authorities
We cooperate fully with law enforcement and child protection authorities. Where required or where we believe it is necessary to protect a child, we report concerns to the appropriate authorities, which may include local law enforcement in the relevant jurisdiction and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Where appropriate, we preserve evidence — including messages and account data — to support official investigations.
08Parents and guardians
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that a minor may have gained access to GulfRasta, or that a child may be at risk through the platform, please contact us immediately at safety@gulfrasta.com. Include as much information as you can about the account or conversation in question. We treat these reports as a priority, and we will confirm the action we have taken.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement first, then report the matter to us.
